Today, I woke up much later than I wanted to, talked with @mulan for a bit and tried to help her debug the issue that she was having, and went over to the doctor’s for my appointment which I was ultimately late for (bleh). I spent a very long time playing Bloons TD6, which was very fun, but an incredible waste of time. Not really sure what I was doing in the afternoon, guess I could check my RescueTime but I don’t quite want to, not at this moment. Went to the play with the Sciennes group, later at night! It was a performance of As You Like It, and I really quite enjoyed it—it gave an awesome perspective about what Shakespeare was really about, and who he was really writing his plays for. I think especially the comedies, but the tragedies as well, literally pop off the page so much more when live people are actually performing them, with their emotions, facial expressions, gestures, clothes, small movements, and other physical cues that provide much more weight to the play than just the act of reading the script. It was very cool. Afterwards, I struggled a bit with the dilemma of figuring out how to get back to home, to mulan, while avoiding that awkwardness of being the first person to leave, and how to tell them what I really want to do without it seeming like I’m just trying to do other shit or their company isn’t worth my time or something along those lines. Not 100% sure how to deal with that. Had a bit of an argument with Mulan about it. Then called mom for a little bit, and had my call. Slept relatively late ish.
