I was supposed to be productive, doing a lot of work for research stuff, but I ended up procrastinating and procrastinating (still got some research done, but it was late at night). I got up pretty early in the morning, and actually made it to my Doctor’s appointment (who said that there are two possible ways that I can get my shoulder checked out for physiotherapy — either the NHS route, for which she gave me a card, or going to a private practice (which is at Pleasance, I can ask them about it and they will direct me to it, if I feel like my shoulder isn’t better in a couple of weeks. Went to the library where I was pretty much playing Bloons tbh, then I got back to the dorm with Mulan. Was supposed to be working, I helped Mulan figure out our code, but played more Bloons, at least until we went to lunch, at this Italian place (Rigatoni’s) which was decent but pretty damn overpriced tbh. Got curry chips afterwards and came back home, Mulan did some work, submitted, and we cuddled around for a bit. At the same time, I was planning what I was going to do for the evening, because Sciennes people asked to play Secret Hitler, and at that point I didn’t want to say no to them, but Mulan got kind of sad about that (rightfully so) because it seemed like I was valuing spending time with them more than spending time with her. Eventually, she agreed, and I realized that she was doing something similar on the Isle of Skye trip. Ended up going down with the Sciennes group, initially just fucked around for a long time because people didn’t show up! But talked with Lauren, Kas, Martim and played this trivia game with them. Eventually people showed up, but we kept having to restart because people would come and go, and one time I fucked up myself because I forgot to do the phase where the fascists find out who each other are. I was fascist both times which was a first, and it was really fun playing fascist. Shared some interesting stories with the rest of the group later, and in general felt a lot closer with all of them. (Not to the point yet where I’m doing things individually with them, but maybe at some point? That day will come.)
