- Yesterday, I moved into my new place at Sciennes. Everything was mostly pretty smooth - my main concern at this point is the relationships with housemates. I moved some stuff around in the fridge/freezer, put a lot of stuff in the trash, and made the shower bathroom a bit wet — I need to talk with her at some point to make sure she’s not begrudging me just moving in and not really talking much or explaining what I was doing.
- Also cutlery is a bit of an issue, as well as having room to cook my own stuff. That makes it an even bigger priority to make sure I communicate with her as soon as possible.
- Had food at the Nile Valley cafe with Zoe and Quetza! It was really really good. I want to make sure I explore as many places as possible, but definitely going to use that café as a backup if I can’t find any places.
- The Taste of Scotland event was pretty fun! I liked the lager beer, and the vegetarian haggis was pretty tasty (and more spicy than I thought). The storytelling event (Trith or Blithers) was very funny. I also really enjoyed the ceilidh dancing event — it seemed quite fun. I’m going to try to join that society if possible.
- Felt pretty melancholy at night randomly - felt kind of frozen, unwilling to do anything, had a few different things to do, none of them were too hard but just felt unwilling to do anything. I don’t know if it was to do with the fact that Mulan was there, or the fact that if Mulan wasn’t there, I could just fuck around and kind of wear off the sadness that way, or because I didn’t feel complete freedom to do whatever I wanted to, even that was just fucking around. I’m not sure. @mulan
