I spent this day as a cute date day with Mulan! Even though I wasn’t initially planning on doing so. At around 12PM ish, I asked @mulan if she wanted to go to Arthur’s Seat, since the weather was so good for the day. Surprisingly enough, she was down! We took the bus over to South Bridge, and walked along the Royal Mile through Canongate and to the palace area — it was super cool to see and check it all out. The views from next to the palace were stunning—it was crazy to think that such an urban area could be smack dab in the middle of this beautiful nature landscape. When we started hiking up, the views that we could see were beautiful as well—it was super cool to see the ocean in all its glory, with some snowcapped hills in the background, lakes, other slopes, and the entire city with its distinctively indistinctive skyline. On the way up, it was incredibly windy, but we eventually got there and it was a really fun hike. At one point I wasn’t sure if @mulan was going to be able to make it, since she was feeling pretty lightheaded, but she eventually pulled through (I think it could have been because of the Sun pointing directly to her eyes or something).

After getting some awesome pictures, we did the hike back down, but on the other side of the mountain (it was a super quick walk down). Then we had this really scenic walk through the Holyrood Park area, which opened up right next to Pollock Halls which was cool. We walked to this stationery shop, and we saw these paint kits that let you paint within the boundary guidelines, with different numbered paints, to create a super awesome and complicated scene. We ended up buying those, as well as some Greggs, and watched Avatar. I don’t remember what we did in the meantime, but we eventually went to Noodles & Dumplings for some Chinese food, which @mulan was a huge fan of so it must mean that it was some really good food. I really liked my dumplings as well, but I don’t think there was enough of them, so I was still hungry towards the end. Afterwards, we went to Sainsbury’s, got Doritos, an ale and some ice cream, and went back home.

We ended up painting, listening to music, and having some deep talks! Painting was quite a lot of fun, but I can tell it’ll be super time consuming—we were painting for at least 3 hours, and I was really only able to paint all the areas where there’s only one shade of blue. It also might be hard in the future becaue I had to paint over some of the guidelines that point to what number paint should be in other places, so I’m going to have to figure that out as I go along.
