- In Scotland now! Biggest thing that I want to talk about is how nice everyone is — people universally seem much more willing to help others, however possible.
- Flight was decent - had a weird interaction with someone at the airport where I accidentally bumped into two of the waitresses at the restaurant with my new bag, but apart from that the SFO - EWR flight was fine.
- I had an interesting thought about the benefits of living in the US vs other countries (specifically India) - access, innovation, diversity
- Looking at booking flights/trains to London, seems like flights might be cheaper
- Met this neat taxi driver, was super friendly and offered to hit him up if we want to take a day trip to the Scottish highlands!
- Realized that sleep affects so many of my bodily functions without my realizing it - peeing, shitting, dryness in my mouth, just feeling pretty bleh
- Made the connection between diddling and periods of feeling lethargic/lazy
- Mulan told me about this book she’s reading, Atomic Habits. It’s interesting to think about setting habits as not “I will read 10 min every day” but “I will become a reader”
- Living in a hostel was interesting. The room and entire setup in general was much more developed and futuristic than I thought it would be. I got the sense that I was loud and bumbling while everyone else knew how to stay in that kind of environment without causing a disturbance, but that could’ve just been me feeling insecure about that one detail.
- Seeing Mulan again was soooo nice! I made the comment that she’s my savior, and it’s true — whenever I’m with her, life seems that much more hopeful.
- Had a very nice walk with Mulan yesterday! We walked along prince’s street and went to different shops, but also walked in the Princes street gardens and I felt peaceful and content
- About to go to pack! Will update with the rest of the day later
