Prep Procedure
- 1.5 glasses of rice, put in cooker, rinse 1-2 times
- Measure double number of glasses you used for rice as the quantity of water (in this case 3-3.5 glasses), and soak water
- Cut up half an onion
Cooking procedure
- 1 kadhchi olive oil into broad pan
- Let oil heat up
- 1+ chamach zeera
- Wait till zeera is slightly brown and you can smell
- Put in onion
- Wait until onion is slightly sautéed and dark pink becomes lightish pink, keep stirring
- Waited until onions are golden brown
- Put in rice
- Add salt (corresponding to amount of zeera). Optional: bit of garam masala, little bit of red peeper
- Put it on medium gas
About 10 minutes, or until the rice are soft and cooked
